These ceramic pie weights are made for blind baking and are designed to prevent pastry shell from shrinking or bubbling up while in the oven by spreading the heat evenly. To keep you going for longer, these little weights are washable and reusable.
To use:
-Lightly press the pie shell into the pie pan and flute edges.
-Prick your pie shell with a fork.
-Line unfilled pie shell with baking paper then fill with ceramic pie weights.
-Partially bake as directed in your recipe. When cool, remove liner and ceramic pie weights.
-Finish baking as your recipe directs.
