About The Brand

Hôtel Magique is created by all-round creative Milou Neelen. After a series of exhibitions and years of working as a freelance designer in the fashion industry designing patterns, magazine illustrations and brand identities Milou launched Hôtel Magique in late 2015.

During a visit to dreamy Portland, she stumbled upon a piece of beautiful Japanese golden momi paper. Back at her studio in Amsterdam’s city center, she painted a hotel-vibe artwork on the momi paper as an art piece for her home with the text Hôtel Magique – 8th Avenue & 51st – Open crazy late. She fell in love with the word magique which planted the seed to build a brand with magique-related artworks, combining both her love for art and hotel nights.
